It’s strange writing a feature with the knowledge that you will direct it. The process is different. When it’s just keystrokes, paper and ink, you have no limitations. But when you know the words must come alive on a screen, the limitations force you to be more creative and to do a lot with nothing. Your inner producer forces you to do things differently.
I have nothing, but it excites me. Having nothing forces me to be infinitely inventive by experimenting visually as I put words on a screen.
The film evolves organically from me.
