My film will screen at the San Diego Latino Film Festival on Sunday, March 18 at 1:00 p.m. The shorts program is called Hecho en USA II. I've shot all my previous films on celluloid and I'm anxious to see how the HD Canon 5D Mark II footage is going to look projected that big since it's my first digital short.
I'm looking forward to seeing all the films and hopefully meeting the filmmakers.

Back in her hometown, a young entomologist investigating the death of her dad's honey bees stumbles upon racial prejudices, lies and old family feuds. "BEE" is both a mystery and a love story: Many documentaries have been done about the Colony Collapse Disorder (CCD), but very few fiction-based films. I was interested in creating a unique film with a strong story and strong characters, to bring the terrible fate of the honeybees to a broader audience. JB Dunckel (The Virgin Suicides, Lost In Translation) wrote the original score. Breeda Wool and Frank Ashmore play the lead roles.
